I have 25+ years of experience as a trusted benefits advisor, managing all aspects of employer-sponsored health & welfare programs. My background on the carrier side in client services and provider relations and on the broker side in client management and as a Producer makes me an extremely knowledgeable resource to clients because I understand the inner workings of the insurance business from all sides.
My expertise plays a key role in working successfully with clients because I understand the complex issues and unique challenges faced by employers today: pressure to keep benefits cost manageable, lack of internal resources and the difficulty of conveying understanding and value to employees. I enjoy utilizing my expertise to help employers provide competitive benefits at reasonable prices while remaining sensitive to the needs of employees.
My primary focus has always been to partner with clients in creating long-term strategies that align with the organizational objectives and cultures of their business, arming them with innovative solutions and consulting support around plan design, administration, employee communications & enrollment, compliance, benchmarking, and wellness programs to help clients better understand their risks, mitigate costs and optimize financing - all leading to increased satisfaction and value for employee benefits that delivers the best product, price, and service. As part of my core value proposition, I offer state of- the-art tools and resources to help alleviate the administrative and compliance burden on employers, freeing them to focus on the core aspects of growing their businesses.
Another very enjoyable aspect of my business is engaging with individual consumers in an educational role; helping them understand their options, coaching them on how to be better healthcare consumers and maximizing the options of their health plans. I am a certified enrollment agent with Covered California as well as I am certified with many top Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drug, and Medicare Supplement plans.
I serve as a volunteer board member on the California Agents & Health Insurance Professional, Golden Gate Chapter (CAHIP-GG.org).
